Always do your BEST

For a recovering perfectionist, granting myself the permission to have rough moments, days, heck, weeks even, accepting that my best is all I can do can be quite a challenge! Can you relate?!

Returning again & again to the breath and the present moment…forgiving myself, apologizing to others when needed, and breathing again…

How do you stay motivated????

Taking a different look in motivation Monday today.

A big question I get is “how do you stay so motivated?” And this picture really reminded me of my answer, “one day I just woke up and decided I didn’t want to feel like that anymore, or ever again. So I changed.”

The thing is – no one can want it for you. No one can make you do it. No one can control you. People can supply you with what you need – a trainer can give you the best workout ever, Autumn Calabresse can give you portion control in 7 easy to figure out containers, Shaun T can kick your ass into abs, a nutritionist can give you an entire meal plan, I can give you support and accountability.. You get the point. It all doesn’t matter though. You could have all the resources in the world, all the money in the world, all the opportunity in the world… It all doesn’t matter unless YOU apply it.

Build Your Dreams – NOT Someone Else’s !!!

Just a few short years ago, I was working a full-time “desk” job with crazy long hours, not a lot of vacation Screen Shot 2015-03-11 at 2.02.37 PMdays, and doing something that I wasn’t passionate about. I was tired of busting my booty for not a lot of

money and spending so much time missing out on my kid’s activities. Instead of complaining about it, I decided to take my future into my own hands and becoming my own boss. Was I scared? Absolutely! Was I unsure and skeptical? Of course! But, it was the best decision I ever made!

As a MOM it’s hard to remember to take care of yourself, but it’s really critical to find ways to put yourself first sometimes.

Take a lesson from the heart. It’s FIRST job is to pump blood to ITSELF, and THEN deliver blood to the rest of the body!
