Always do your BEST

Screen Shot 2015-03-11 at 3.29.52 PMWOW. I did my best, I REALLY, really, REALLY did…but I’ll be honest…my best wasn’t all that spectacular today.

For a recovering perfectionist, granting myself the permission to have rough moments, days, heck, weeks even, accepting that my best is all I can do can be quite a challenge! Can you relate?!

Returning again & again to the breath and the present moment…forgiving myself, apologizing to others when needed, and breathing again…

Please LIKE if you’ve ever had a rough day…and PLEASE “share” if you know someone who could use a little love.

Do you choose to eat Organic?

Do you personally choose to eat organic? Do you feel it is something that is a priority or do you feel it is more HYPE?

I PERSONALLY choose to eat organic when I can and that is my preference. I am always interested in others opinions on this topic and I won’t try to sway your opinion. I just want to have an open conversation about this…

Here are some of the reasons I personally opt for organic when I have the choice: Screen Shot 2015-03-11 at 3.23.06 PM

I don’t want the chemicals: Bugs don’t bother me- I wash my fruit and veggies and make sure they are clean- the thought of eating a food that has chemicals and pesticides all over it turns my stomach. Over one billion pounds of pesticides are used in the United States each year on our crops. We then consume some of these chemicals as pesticide residue on fruits and vegetables. We CONSUME these when we eat non organic.

How do you stay motivated????

Taking a different look in motivation Monday today.

A big question I get is “how do you stay so motivated?” And this picture really reminded me of my answer, “one day I just woke up and decided I didn’t want to feel like that anymore, or ever again. So I changed.”

The thing is – no one can want it for you. No one can make you do it. No one can control you. People can supply you with what you need – a trainer can give you the best workout ever, Autumn Calabresse can give you portion control in 7 easy to figure out containers, Shaun T can kick your ass into abs, a nutritionist can give you an entire meal plan, I can give you support and accountability.. You get the point. It all doesn’t matter though. You could have all the resources in the world, all the money in the world, all the opportunity in the world… It all doesn’t matter unless YOU apply it.
